The Bagno a Ripoli area of Tuscany, where the bed and breakfast and vacation home Casale Fontibucci is located, is rich in art and culture. Excavation in the south of Bagno a Ripoli has revealed ancient structures from the Roman Empire (Third Century B.C.).

Originally an ancient watchtower in the Middle Ages, and later said to have been home to Michelangelo's stonecutters, in the seventeenth century Casale Fontibucci was transformed into a farmhouse. Today, the buildings have been completely renovated, and equipped inside with all modern comforts while faithfully preserving the original aesthetic and architectural design of the buildings.

to the breakfast area, Situated on the first floor, access is via a romantic stone staircase adorned with flowering plants. The main double bedroom of the flat, known as the "Ancient Chimney" ( XVII century ) has an attractive wood-beamed ceiling and two windows offering a delightful view of Florence and of the garden. The second double bedroom, known as " Balcony", has a staircase connecting it to the breakfast area, fully equipped with a table and four chairs, TV, fridge, microwave oven, and an American coffee machine.The rooms are furnished with family-owned antiques. Bathroom with bath. From the independent entrance, guests can enjoy a breathtaking view of Florence.

Swimming Pool
With a curved shape like a small lake, surrounded by flowers, shrubs, olives and cypress trees, our swimming pool is open from the end of May to September and, like the sun terrace, commands a spectacular view of Florence. It is equipped with garden umbrellas and deckchairs. Towels for the swimming pool are at guests’ disposal.

Just a few kilometres from Casale Fontibucci, there are 2 riding-schools (enabling guests to visit the countryside around the estate on horseback), tennis courts and a golf club.
