Casa Elena is perfectly located for those
willing to enjoy the quiet of the Tuscan countryside and, at the
same time, experience the history and the traditions of Cortona.
Cortona and its trattorias, its wine, its art, its music, its
shopping facilities, its museums and its relaxing walking areas
are only 5miles away. The “Casa Elena” vacation home is
located in the heart of the landscape of the Valdichiana, where
vine and olive cultivation date back to Etruscan times.
The farmhouse is a typical Tuscan country house which was
recently restored, with full respect of the existing structures,
and divided into four comfortable apartments (“Il Sole”, “La
Luna”, “Le Stelle” and "Il Cielo") each having an independent
entrance.
“La Luna” and “Le Stelle” apartments are perfectly in keeping
with the typical Tuscan style with exposed stonework walls,
fireplace and Tuscan cotto floors whilst the third apartment is
slightly more modern and yet warm and cozy. All apartments are
roomy and well-lighted, fitted with colour TV, independent
heating system and all comforts and furnished in keeping with
the style of the farmhouse.
All common facilities available to guests such as
laundry-room, barbecue grill and old-fashioned wood-burning-oven
may be accessed from the large garden.
The two-roomed flat Le Stelle (65 mq – sleeps two)
is located on the ground floor. Consists of a kitchen, a
large living room with fireplace, a large double bedroom where
(an extra bed may be added), and a bathroom with shower.
La Luna (95 mq – sleeps four + one):
is spread over two floors. Consists of a large kitchen and a
living room on the ground floor and two large double bedrooms
(one of which equipped with a sleeper-sofa) and a bathroom with
shower on the upper floor, accessed by a wooded staircase.
Il Sole (80 mq – sleeps four)
located on the first floor. Consists of a kitchen with
fireplace, two large double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.
Il Cielo (150 mq – sleeps six).
Is spread over two floors. Consists of a large kitchen and a
living room on the ground floor and three double bedrooms and a
bathroom on the upper floor, accessed by a wooded staircase.
The 10 X 5 metre pool is open May through September.
The owners, who live nearby and often go to the farmhouse to
take care of barnyard animals and the horse and the pony living
in the area adjoining Casa Elena, will be more than glad to
cater for any special request.
