The biggest island of the Mediterranean, eternal meeting point between East and West, rich in smaller and extremely striking islands: the Aeolian Islands, the Aegadian Islands, Pantelleria, Lampedusa and Linosa and on the East side, Malta. Malta is not properly italian, but easily and shortly reachable from Catania or Siracusa. The gem of Sicily is Taormina.
The other must-to-sail place is Sardinia. Internationally known for its caribbean “Emerald Coast”, this island is an idillic destination: night life, wild landscapes, transparent waters, fish and meat local cuisine.. These are only sample places to travel in Italy, on my opinion the first on you Bucket List to discover when you plan your next charter.
The best period to discover Italy by boat is from May to the end of September, the climate is mid. The high season is in August. 2 weeks are the perfect duration for your itinerary, because you will combine more destinations and you will have enough time to enjoy it, without giving up relax and fun.
